Job Details

• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, variable days; Tuesday start
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
• Orientation: 50 hours
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Setting: Fast-paced procedural recovery unit
• Location: Portland, OR 97239
• Schedule Notes: No weekends or holidays

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• At least 1 year of Adult Critical Care, Procedural, or Emergency Department experience within the last 5 years
• Current ACLS and BLS required prior to first day
• PALS required prior to first day
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Strong communication, active listening, and conflict management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective time management and patient flow coordination skills
• Ability to manage complex patient care needs with confidence
• Experience with anesthesia recovery, procedural recovery, and patient discharge processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient recovery care for patients following moderate sedation and general anesthesia
• Monitor patients recovering from procedures in Endoscopy, Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and related areas
• Perform admission, procedural preparation, recovery, and discharge duties
• Support care for patients undergoing EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, TEE, cardioversion, and EP procedures
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition during Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure smooth patient transitions through the unit
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate patient needs clearly and promptly
• Promote a high standard of patient-centered care in a busy procedural environment
