Job Details

• Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Pikeville, Kentucky
• Start Date: 8/31/2026
• Contract Length: 7 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or telemetry nursing experience
• Experience caring for adult and older adult patients in an acute care or hospital setting
• Strong cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and medication administration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinical environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patients using the nursing process to guide safe, effective care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage pain, and support sedation needs as ordered
• Provide chest tube care, central line access, and IV therapy support
• Assist with pre- and post-cardiac cath care
• Support TPN/PPN administration, transfusion therapy, and specialized IV drips
• Perform waiver testing and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
