Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Setting: Main Emergency Department and Pediatric Behavioral Emergency Department (PBED)
• Location: McKinney, TX 75069
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Start Date: 9/14/2026

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Meditech experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Strong clinical judgment and confidence working in a high-acuity emergency room environment
• High-energy, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach
• Ability to start quickly and maintain a reliable attendance record

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a fast-paced ER setting
• Support patient flow in both the main ED and PBED areas
• Monitor and assess patients with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 in zone
• Collaborate with charge nurses, RNs, and techs/paramedics to deliver safe, efficient clinical care
• Use Meditech and GE monitor equipment to document and manage patient care
• Care for patients who may require admission and continued holding in the emergency department
• Deliver compassionate, professional care in a busy Level 2 trauma environment
