This Mother/Baby Registered Nurse travel assignment is ideal for an RN who enjoys postpartum nursing, newborn care, and patient education. You will provide high-quality mother-baby support while working 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts in a busy Plano healthcare setting.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain a consistent schedule
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
• Comfortable providing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a fast-paced hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate postpartum care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor maternal recovery, vital signs, and overall newborn wellbeing
• Support newborn assessments, feeding education, and family teaching
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
• Promote a calm, reassuring experience for families during the postpartum stay
