Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• End Date: 11/23/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Shift Pattern: Self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts per month
• Setting: Emergency Department / Level I trauma environment
• Location: Plano, TX 75075

Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Active Texas RN license or compact license eligibility
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• SAMA, CPI, or equivalent certification preferred; support may be provided with a 30-day grace period
• ENPC preferred
• Strong adaptability, calm under pressure, and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to thrive in a variable-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to emergency patients across a wide range of acuity levels
• Provide support in trauma, stroke, chest pain, burn, psych, and vertical treatment areas as needed
• Monitor patients, assess changing conditions, and respond quickly to emergent needs
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, EMTs, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow established clinical protocols
• Use strong communication skills to support patients and families during stressful situations
• Contribute to a positive, flexible, and team-oriented unit culture
• Participate in cross-training opportunities if assigned to support a sister facility
