Join a dynamic Emergency Department team in Plano, Texas, where you'll provide high-quality, patient-first care in a fast-paced environment. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity emergency care setting with a supportive team, modern emergency and trauma resources, and a self-scheduling culture that helps promote work-life balance. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 8/24/2026
- End Date: 11/23/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Shift Pattern: Self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts per month
- Setting: Emergency Department / Level I trauma environment
- Location: Plano, TX 75075
Emergency Department RN Requirements
- Active Texas RN license or compact license eligibility
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- SAMA, CPI, or equivalent certification preferred; support may be provided with a 30-day grace period
- ENPC preferred
- Strong adaptability, calm under pressure, and a patient-first mindset
- Ability to thrive in a variable-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to emergency patients across a wide range of acuity levels
- Provide support in trauma, stroke, chest pain, burn, psych, and vertical treatment areas as needed
- Monitor patients, assess changing conditions, and respond quickly to emergent needs
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, EMTs, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow established clinical protocols
- Use strong communication skills to support patients and families during stressful situations
- Contribute to a positive, flexible, and team-oriented unit culture
- Participate in cross-training opportunities if assigned to support a sister facility
