• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend coverage; call may be required
• Documentation System: Meditech preferred

Job Requirements

• Active RN license required; temporary license not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience
• Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in PCU, stepdown, or telemetry
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• Strong clinical judgment in a progressive care or telemetry setting
• Professional, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
• Experience with Meditech preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients requiring close observation and ongoing assessment
• Monitor patient conditions, identify changes quickly, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support unit workflow while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
• Adapt to a dynamic stepdown environment and follow unit policies, floating expectations, and attendance guidelines
