Job Details

- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Start Date: 8/24/2026
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend coverage; call may be required
- Documentation System: Meditech preferred
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required; temporary license not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience
- Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in PCU, stepdown, or telemetry
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
- Strong clinical judgment in a progressive care or telemetry setting
- Professional, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
- Experience with Meditech preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients requiring close observation and ongoing assessment
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes quickly, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Support unit workflow while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
- Adapt to a dynamic stepdown environment and follow unit policies, floating expectations, and attendance guidelines
