• Location: Carthage, TN 37030
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750-$1,840
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekends: Rotating weekends
• Call: None
• Charting System: Meditech
• Unit Size: 18 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:5

Job Requirements

• Active RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• ADN or BSN required
• Experience with IV therapy, foley care, pain management, and EMAR documentation
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric patients
• Strong teamwork skills and a friendly, compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to provide required pre-start screenings and compliance documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to patients with a 1:5 ratio
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for common Med/Surg diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, AMS, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while maintaining timely EMAR documentation
• Perform IV therapy, foley care, pain management, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Communicate clearly with patients and families while maintaining a compassionate bedside manner
• Adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment and contribute to a smooth, efficient unit workflow
