Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
• Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 3, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights
• Schedule: 80 hours every 2 weeks
• Setting: Intensive Care / Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU)
• Location: Waimea, HI 96796, on the scenic island of Kauai
• Unit Size: 4-bed / 4-room ICU
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 depending on acuity

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of ICU/CCU nursing experience
• Active RN license in good standing
• Experience caring for patients with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions
• Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain flexibility with unit needs
• Comfort working with ventilated patients and higher-acuity assignments
• Willingness to float to OB, Med-Surg, PACU, and ER based on competency level
• Emergency room and PACU recovery experience preferred
• Ability to complete orientation, competency binder, and unit-specific training

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ICU/CCU care to surgical and medically complex patients
• Coordinate patient care and respond to individualized age-appropriate needs
• Monitor and care for patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions requiring critical care support
• Maintain safe staffing support and collaborate with the care team when acuity increases
• Assist with patients requiring ventilator support and specialized ICU interventions
• Float to other departments as needed and within competency to support patient care needs
• Participate in hospital and unit orientation to ensure safe, effective practice
• Deliver compassionate, detail-oriented care in a dynamic critical care setting
