• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
• Charting System: EPIC
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Floating: Required within specialty and acuity
• On Call: None

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience providing care in a high-acuity critical care unit
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care to ICU patients with complex conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as stroke, renal failure, MI, respiratory failure, pneumonia, DKA, and post-cardiac arrest care
• Support advanced critical care therapies including CRRT, IABP, ventilator management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Assist with chest tube management, central line care, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation
• Respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining a calm, focused approach
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote the best possible patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards in EPIC
• Adapt to changing patient needs while delivering high-quality critical care nursing
