Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER Nurse)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Setting: 65-bed Emergency Department with pediatric and acute mental health areas
• Charting System: EPIC ASAP
• Location: Salem, MA — a charming coastal New England city with historic character, walkable downtown access, and proximity to the North Shore and greater Boston healthcare market

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience in an acute care or emergency room setting
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• TNCC and NRP certifications are strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ED environment
• Experience with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults, pediatric patients, and behavioral health populations

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform comprehensive assessments, nursing documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and EKG interpretation
• Provide cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting as needed
• Educate patients and families while supporting individualized care plans in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to manage high-volume patient flow
• Adapt to floating requirements and occasional rotating shift needs when requested
• Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication in an acute care setting
