• Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, every other holiday

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• CCRN certification a plus
• Comfortable caring for high-acuity cardiovascular, post-surgical, and intensive care patients
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips
• Experience with titratable drips, ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced ICU setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to CVICU patients with complex cardiac and post-operative needs
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilator support, invasive lines, and advanced cardiovascular monitoring
• Titrate and manage multiple drips according to protocol and provider orders
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients requiring temporary pacing, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced ICU interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Float to other levels of care as needed and support full-team assignments
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, compassionate patient care at all times
