- Schedule: Day/evening rotation required; options may include 2x8s and 2x12s or 5x8s
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870 - $3,020
- Call Requirement: 2-4 weeknight call shifts and 1-2 weekend call periods per 4-week schedule
- Unit Focus: Adult cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and vascular surgery
- Orientation: Onsite orientation included
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR RN experience
- Previous travel RN experience required
- Active Michigan RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current ACLS, BLS, and CNOR certifications required
- Strong scrub experience with a demonstrated skill level of 3 or 4
- Experience with high-acuity cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases preferred
- Ability to work rotating day and evening shifts
- Two manager or supervisor references required
- Ability to begin with no requested time off during the first week of contract
Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Assist with adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
- Support complex surgical cases including CABG, valve procedures, ECMO, transplant, VATS, EVAR, and more
- Perform scrub duties and maintain readiness for a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and the OR team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
- Maintain excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
- Follow all unit protocols, safety standards, and sterile technique practices
