• Schedule: Full-time, day/night variable rotation, weekend and holiday coverage as needed, plus on-call shifts

Job Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and stroke certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• NIHSS certification preferred or required per unit standards
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and establish priorities of care
• Deliver direct nursing care for patients with emergent and routine needs
• Use invasive and non-invasive interventions appropriate for emergency care
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, EMS, and interdisciplinary team members
• Monitor changes in condition and respond quickly with appropriate interventions
• Provide education, discharge instructions, and support for next steps in care
• Support a safe, healing environment through compassionate, relationship-based care
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely updates throughout the patient visit
