Seeking a Travel LTAC Registered Nurse in Peoria, IL: Bring your med-surg and long-term acute care nursing experience to a rewarding 13-week travel RN assignment supporting patients with complex medical needs.

Job Details

• Location: Peoria, IL 61605
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / Med Surg
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with PEG tube care and feedings, CVC/PICC/midline care, and tracheostomy patients
• Ability to titrate drips, including heparin
• Comfort working with complex med-surg and LTAC patient populations
• Availability to provide requested time off and meet submission requirements
• Must be willing to complete a negative drug screen

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care needs, IV antibiotics, post-CVA conditions, post-trauma recovery, and cardiac diagnoses
• Perform ongoing assessments, monitor patient status, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and manage titratable therapies according to clinical guidelines
• Provide care for tracheostomy patients and manage central access devices with confidence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Float as needed to other units within scope, including ICU and Acute Rehab
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit protocols
