Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU provides skilled, compassionate recovery care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs in accordance with established nursing standards and unit policies. • Schedule: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on-call as needed
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

Job Requirements

• 0 to 6 months of related nursing experience
• Completion of an approved professional nursing program
• Valid multi-state or Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Working knowledge of disease state management processes, the bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and remain detail-oriented in a clinical setting
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned PACU patients
• Use the nursing process to deliver safe, individualized post-anesthesia recovery care
• Complete accurate patient assessments and develop care plans based on unit guidelines
• Provide care that reflects each patient’s cultural, psychosocial, and age-specific needs
• Prioritize tasks effectively and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
• Document the nursing process clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Support patient teaching, discharge preparation, and timely referrals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes
• Contribute to quality improvement, education, and unit-based initiatives
• Complete variance reports and other required clinical documentation
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members
