Job Details

• Location: Watertown, New York 13601
• Assignment Type: Travel RN / Operating Room Nurse
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,320–$2,440
• Schedule Notes: Weekend, holiday, and call coverage required
• Call Requirement: 30-minute response time
• Start Date: 09/14/2026

Job Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and perioperative patient care
• Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work safely with patient lifts and maintain a safe environment
• Leadership, charge nurse, precepting, and delegation skills preferred
• Familiarity with typical clinical and OR/ASU equipment
• Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room setting
• Assess patient needs, including clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs
• Maintain a safe and aseptic surgical environment
• Use appropriate equipment and techniques to support patient safety
• Assist with patient lifting, movement, and safe transfers as needed
• Respond effectively to urgent and changing clinical situations
• Support team coordination through prioritization and delegation
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as scheduled
