Travel Nurse Job Details

• Position: Mother/Baby Registered Nurse (RN)

Mother/Baby RN Job Requirements

• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• STABLE certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, with recertification every 2 years
• At least 1 year of RN experience preferred
• Experience in Mother/Baby, postpartum, antepartum, labor and delivery, or women’s health nursing preferred
• Ability to practice modified primary nursing and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Willingness to float as needed for patient safety and team support

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered postpartum care to mothers and newborns
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Implement, evaluate, and document nursing interventions and patient outcomes
• Support patient education and family teaching throughout the postpartum recovery process
• Collaborate closely with physicians, neonatal staff, and other healthcare team members
• Maintain safe, high-quality nursing practice aligned with current standards and hospital protocols
• Respond appropriately to changing patient needs and clinical priorities
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient experiences
• Participate in required education, skills validation, and competency maintenance
