Registered Nurse Requirements

  • Active New York State RN licensure
  • At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in an endoscopy environment
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Ability to adapt quickly in an acute care setting and support call coverage as assigned
  • Comfort working with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the endoscopy setting with a focus on safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Support pre-op, circulator, tech, and post-op workflows as assigned by shift
  • Administer medications and perform nursing interventions in accordance with established clinical standards
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
  • Promote a healing environment through compassionate communication and emotional support
  • Follow infection prevention practices and maintain compliance with safety protocols
  • Participate in call rotation and respond within the required 1-hour response time
  • Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing professional development
