Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active Oklahoma RN license or compact/multi-state RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency department patients
- Proficiency with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherms, and critical medication drips
- Strong communication, multitasking, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to meet pre-employment credentialing requirements
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent movement throughout the shift
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ conditions quickly and accurately, prioritizing care for serious or life-threatening emergencies
- Initiate emergency interventions when a physician is not immediately available
- Operate and monitor emergency equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and cardiac monitors
- Administer medications, IV therapy, respiratory support, and other ordered treatments
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and thoroughly
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective treatment plans
- Maintain adequate supplies, equipment, and a safe, organized emergency department environment
- Support high-quality care for patients experiencing minor injuries, trauma, and acute medical emergencies
