• Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
• Setting: Acute care Post Anesthesia Care Unit
• Location: Lewes, DE 19958
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour day shifts with variable start times
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: About 4-5 call shifts in a 4-week period, including weekends and holidays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 - $2,230
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 2 patients to 1 RN
• Possible Floating: SDS or PAT

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for post-operative patients in a PACU or similar acute care setting
• Comfort working variable shifts and participating in call coverage
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond to changing patient conditions
• Experience with Epic charting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care to a diverse surgical patient population
• Monitor patients following procedures such as ortho, gyn, pediatric, vascular, ENT, C-section, GI, and general surgery
• Assess airway status, hemodynamics, pain level, and overall recovery progress
• Support management of arterial lines, ventilators, and other advanced post-op needs as appropriate
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
• Respond to call assignments and provide flexible coverage as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient care and safety
