• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse Job

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or as needed
• Call: As needed
• Float: As needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Unit Size: 24 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting System: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• HWC certification required or willingness to complete on-site
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment with a patient-focused approach
• Comfort caring for a diverse patient population across all ages

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols and nursing standards
• Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and care coordination in an acute care setting
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and support teams to promote safe, efficient, compassionate care
• Maintain professionalism and excellent bedside care throughout each shift
