Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of bedside clinical nursing experience required
- 2+ years of bedside experience preferred
- PCU or similar higher-acuity nursing experience required
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift if applicable
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments within the first 8 hours of admission
- Create and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and communicate patient progress clearly
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission onward
- Support safe, effective care by following hospital policies, safety standards, and infection prevention practices
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to LPNs, CNAs, and new team members
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative LTAC nursing culture focused on quality patient outcomes
