Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of bedside clinical nursing experience required
• 2+ years of bedside experience preferred
• PCU or similar higher-acuity nursing experience required
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift if applicable
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient assessments within the first 8 hours of admission
• Create and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical progress
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and communicate patient progress clearly
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission onward
• Support safe, effective care by following hospital policies, safety standards, and infection prevention practices
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to LPNs, CNAs, and new team members
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative LTAC nursing culture focused on quality patient outcomes
