Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week; additional hours may be available based on unit needs
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,700 - $1,790
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Charting System: Epic

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• 1+ year of recent PCU, stepdown, or cardiac nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Strong cardiovascular and telemetry experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Experience caring for patients with CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and other cardiovascular conditions
• Epic experience preferred or required
• Ability to work rotating weekends as needed
• Open to a travel nurse assignment with floating to like units within scope

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and progressive care environment
• Monitor telemetry and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with CHF, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and other cardiovascular diagnoses
• Administer medications and therapies according to unit protocols and best practices
• Support respiratory needs such as oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula as appropriate
• Manage IV access, central lines, PICC lines, and related patient care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, efficient patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards of care
