• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
• Unit Type: Resource Pool / Med-Surg Telemetry
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6
• Float Expectation: May float within scope to support facility needs
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• On-Call Requirement: Yes

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain before start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or related acute care experience; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to interpret, monitor, and manage dysrhythmias
• Recent Epic experience preferred
• Ability to pass telemetry competency testing on day one
• Must be able to pass medication and arrhythmia testing during orientation
• Comfortable floating to similar nursing units within scope as needed
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and support daily patient care needs in an acute care environment
• Assess, document, and communicate patient status clearly and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including sepsis, dementia, post-op recovery, orthopedic conditions, chest pain, and stroke rule-outs
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, orientation requirements, and clinical standards
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a resource pool and hospital nursing setting
