• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Harvey, IL
• Setting: Float Pool / Medical Surgical / Acute Care
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,470 - $1,550
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; floating required
• Charting System: Epic
• Population Served: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS preferred
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Tracheostomy care and management experience required
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed
• Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable caring for a 1:6 patient ratio

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately in Epic
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
• Perform tracheostomy care and support airway management needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
• Float to appropriate units based on patient care needs
• Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate bedside care throughout the shift
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment
