Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent critical care or ICU nursing experience required
• CVICU experience or strong cardiovascular critical care experience preferred
• Ability to provide safe, high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfort with night shift scheduling and 36 hours per week
• Open-heart experience is preferred, but strong critical care nurses who can be oriented to the assignment are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to cardiovascular and critically ill patients
• Monitor hemodynamics, recognize changes in patient status, and respond quickly to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly
• Support post-operative cardiac and intensive care patients with focused, patient-centered nursing care
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a high-acuity CVICU environment
