Job Details

• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Location: Sioux Falls, SD 57105
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Schedule: Nights or rotating shifts; every other weekend and every other holiday
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Setting: Acute cardiac stepdown / med-surg cardiology / telemetry

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience in telemetry, stepdown, or acute care med-surg preferred
• Critical care experience preferred due to floating responsibilities
• Current ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care for cardiac stepdown patients with med-surg and telemetry needs
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and support care plans according to unit standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document nursing care accurately in EPIC
• Float as needed based on unit needs and patient census
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent patient service
