Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Location: Tomball, TX 77375
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Rotating weekends; no on-call required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
• Unit Environment: Labor & Delivery, including labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and pre-op/PACU support

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Strong independent L&D skills, including cervical checks, IV starts, OR circulator support, and medication management
• Experience with oxytocin and magnesium administration preferred
• Ability to manage labor patients confidently and work well both independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Preferred experience with device placement such as IUPC and FSE
• Current certifications required: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and EFM
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients and newborns
• Support labor management from admission through delivery and recovery
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Perform cervical assessments, IV starts, and medication administration
• Circulate in the OR and support pre-op/PACU workflows as needed
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately using EFM skills
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
