• Position: Med/Surg Tele RN
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Abilene, TX 79601
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Start Date: Available within the next 3-5 weeks preferred
• Setting: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the med-surg telemetry service line
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
• Experience with Altera charting preferred, but not required
• Comfortable working with a 5:1 patient ratio in an acute care environment
• Must be able to complete required onboarding items within the requested timeframe

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with a wide variety of medical-surgical diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support common med-surg interventions
• Assist with respiratory support, wound care, line care, and other routine unit procedures as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient updates clearly
• Float between both Abilene campuses as needed
• Support a patient-centered environment focused on teamwork, safety, and quality outcomes
