- Setting: Hospital-based Labor & Delivery / Maternal Health Unit

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Pattern: Variable schedule with on-call expectations
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
Job Requirements
- Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) course completion or equivalent AWHONN-approved training
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Ability to circulate in Labor & Delivery
- Willingness to float to Mother Baby and assist with couplets
- Ability to float to other units as a safety companion when needed
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in Labor & Delivery
- Collect and analyze patient data to guide assessments, clinical decisions, and interventions
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for maternity patients
- Support safe, effective, and compassionate patient and family education
- Circulate during procedures as needed
- Float to Mother Baby to care for couplets and support unit needs
- Assist other hospital units as a safety companion when assigned
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain professional standards, clinical competency, and timely completion of required education
- Promote a safe environment and respond appropriately in a busy clinical setting
