Travel Med/Surg RN opportunity in Lander, Wyoming! Join a 13-week acute care assignment in a scenic mountain community and provide hands-on, patient-centered nursing care on 12-hour night shifts. Job Requirements
- Active Wyoming RN license or multistate RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Ability to work confidently in a dynamic acute care and hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and specialized equipment
- Support pre- and post-surgical patients with attentive bedside care
- Initiate IVs, change dressings, and assist with catheter care as needed
- Educate patients and families on recovery, home care, and self-management
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and urgent situations
- Document care thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Participate in discharge planning and promote positive patient outcomes
