Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license or compact license eligible
• Minimum 1 year of recent emergency department nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department preferred
• Ability to remain calm, flexible, and patient-focused in a dynamic clinical environment
• SAMA, CPI, or equivalent training preferred; support may be provided with a 30-day grace period
• ENPC certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to emergency department patients of all acuity levels
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Provide emergency nursing care for chest pain, stroke, trauma, burn, and behavioral health cases
• Collaborate with RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit support staff to promote smooth patient flow
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Support a patient-first philosophy while maintaining strong communication and teamwork
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system
• Adapt quickly to changing census, acuity, and department needs in a busy ER setting
