• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (10:30 AM - 9:00 PM)
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Phase II Recovery
• Call: No call required
• Charting System: Epic preferred
• Location: Wichita Falls, Texas

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required with submission
• License in hand before start date
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to care for a wide variety of post-op cases
• Experience with PACU and Phase II recovery preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to complete all required onboarding items within the stated timeframe

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality recovery care for surgical, endoscopy, and radiology patients
• Monitor patients in the PACU and Phase II recovery following procedures
• Assess airway, circulation, pain, and overall post-anesthesia recovery status
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Administer medications and support recovery interventions as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary perioperative teams to ensure smooth post-op transitions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the charting system
• Support a patient-centered experience for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients
