Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week contract in an outpatient surgery center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This part-time OR RN role is ideal for a clinically strong perioperative nurse with recent pediatric and adult surgical experience.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1420-$1500
- Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center
- Location: Lancaster, PA 17602
- Start Date: 9/15/2026
- Schedule: Wednesday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 24
- Contract Length: 13-week contract
- Additional Schedule Info: Potential need to stay up to 1 hour after shift as needed
- Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirement: No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Recent experience with both pediatric and adult surgical cases required
- Experience with ENT, podiatry, breast reconstruction, and GYN procedures required
- BSN required
- Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN license required
- Strong perioperative clinical judgment in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment
- Prior experience in outpatient surgery, surgical services, or same-day surgery preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for scheduled outpatient surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies to support safe and efficient surgical workflows
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and surgical staff throughout procedures
- Monitor patients and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Support patient safety, sterile technique, and infection prevention practices at all times
- Deliver compassionate care and clear communication to patients and families across the surgical experience
- Work effectively within a high-functioning OR team to promote quality patient outcomes
