• Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown
• Location: Marquette, MI 49855
• Setting: Cardiac IMC / Telemetry / Stepdown / PCU
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: Only if census is low
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310 - $2,440
• Start Date: 7/19/2026

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or cardiac intermediate care required
• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH certification
• Experience with cardiac patient populations, telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and cardiac monitoring
• Comfort working with PCU / stepdown and low-acuity ICU-level skills preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing or related field
• Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac, trauma, and stepdown patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, CHF, pacemakers, heart blocks, stroke/TIA, VATS, and pre/post open-heart surgery
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips and other ordered therapies
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Support a collaborative unit culture where teamwork is essential
• Float to similar areas when needed based on patient care demands
