Job Details

• Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Setting: Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health / Mental Health
• Location: New Castle, Delaware
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 - $1,710
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Start Date: ASAP

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• Experience in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health preferred
• Comfort providing care to adolescents, adults, and seniors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills
• Availability for evening shifts and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with mental health and substance use disorder needs
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in behavior or clinical status
• Support treatment plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques as needed
• Deliver compassionate care that supports stability, safety, and recovery
