Job Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start date
• Minimum of 2 years of recent registered nurse experience in med-surg, stepdown, or a similar acute care environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication systems
• Experience with wound vacs and chest tubes preferred
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
• Must be willing to float between related medical-surgical units as needed
• Professional nursing attire and clean scrubs required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care for adult cardiac stepdown and med-surg patients
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and support care plan implementation
• Administer medications and treatments according to unit protocols and hospital standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR and maintain strong clinical communication
• Float between designated medical and surgical units when needed, including occasional coverage in the cardiovascular unit
• Adapt to varying patient acuity and maintain strong time management in a fast-paced hospital environment
