• Schedule: 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation; no guarantee of hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

• On-Site: Yes
• Call: No call required
• Floating: May float to other acute care units as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
• Dress Code: Scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required by start date
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Progressive care unit (PCU) and telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS preferred
• PALS preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and adapt to floating assignments
• Experience with Meditech charting and Pyxis medication systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care for progressive care and step-down patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret telemetry strips accurately
• Perform fingerstick blood sugar checks and other routine nursing assessments
• Use continuous cardiac monitoring and support patients requiring BIPAP
• Document care in Meditech and safely manage medications using Pyxis
• Collaborate with the care team to promote patient stability, recovery, and safe transitions of care
• Float to other acute care areas as assigned based on unit needs
• Maintain a professional, patient-focused approach throughout the assignment
