Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry RN
- Setting: Cardiac IMC / Medical Surgical Telemetry
- Type: Travel RN assignment
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend; call may be required if census is low
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,310 - $2,440
- Start Date: 08/09/2026
- End Date: 11/08/2026
- Location: Marquette, MI
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or cardiac telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience caring for cardiac patients, including cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips
- Comfort working with chest tubes and stepdown-level patient populations
- Ability to float as needed within similar clinical areas
- Associate degree required
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to cardiac and stepdown patients with telemetry monitoring
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Manage patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, CHF, stroke/TIA, pacemakers, heart blocks, VATS, and pre/post open-heart surgery
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips and other treatments as ordered
- Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner
- Support a culture of teamwork, quality, and excellent patient outcomes
