Registered Nurse (RN) - LTAC Travel Assignment in Wichita, Kansas

Join a dedicated care team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting in Wichita, KS. Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience
  • BLS certification required prior to first shift
  • ACLS certification required prior to first shift
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care or LTAC environment
  • Experience with rehabilitation planning and discharge coordination preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete timely nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support patient rehabilitation efforts and participate in weekly care conferences
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission through discharge
  • Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to promote continuity of care and patient safety
  • Assist with supervision and direction of ancillary nursing personnel as needed
  • Promote a safe, organized, and positive environment for patients and staff
