Join a dynamic acute care team in Glen Burnie, Maryland as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse. In this travel RN opportunity, you’ll provide high-quality care on a mixed medical-surgical telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients in the Baltimore metro area.
Overview
This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting and values collaboration, clinical variety, and compassionate bedside care. You’ll support patients with a wide range of medical and telemetry needs, including respiratory conditions, infectious diseases, post-surgical recovery, wound care, and complex med/surg nursing cases.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
- Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland
- Setting: Mixed Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour nights (20:00 - 08:30)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Average Daily Census: 18
- Beds: 24
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled
- Floating: Required within specialty and to other units as needed
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent registered nurse experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS
- Strong clinical background in telemetry and general med/surg nursing
- Ability to float within scope and support a team-based acute care environment
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric med/surg telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage therapies for patients with COPD, TIA, wound care needs, infectious processes, gastrointestinal conditions, and post-operative recovery
- Perform thorough assessments, document care accurately in Epic, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Support IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, wound care, and common inpatient nursing procedures
- Use strong clinical judgment to prioritize care, escalate concerns, and assist with rapid response situations as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment
- Adapt to floating assignments within scope and work collaboratively with the broader healthcare team
