• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,020
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Floating: Required within like units and lower acuity as needed
• Additional Notes: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent registered nurse experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong med-surg and telemetry nursing background
• Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
• Comfort working with patient ratios of approximately 1:5
• Ability to float within scope and adapt to changing unit needs
• Ability to work scheduled holidays as assigned
• Strong skills in telemetry interpretation, IV therapy, wound care, respiratory support, and post-op/medical patient management

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care for adult and geriatric med-surg telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support ongoing treatment plans
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Manage patients with a variety of medical and post-operative needs, including wound care, oxygen therapy, drains, and telemetry monitoring
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and assist with rapid response or escalation of care when needed
• Support safe discharges, patient education, and continuity of care
• Maintain flexibility to float within the specialty as required
