Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in wound care and ostomy nursing to support consults, prevention efforts, and specialized patient education. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working autonomously while partnering closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to improve outcomes for diverse patient populations.

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent wound care experience
- At least 1 previous travel assignment required
- BLS certification required
- WOCN certification required
- Experience supporting ostomy care, pressure injury prevention, and wound management preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of consults
- Must meet applicable licensure and compliance requirements for assignment start
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage wound, ostomy, and continence-related patient needs
- Support treatment planning for pressure injuries, ostomy care, and complex skin integrity concerns
- Perform consult reviews, prioritize daily caseloads, and collaborate with the WOCN team
- Provide patient and family education on wound prevention, ostomy care, and self-management techniques
- Partner with bedside staff and leadership to support prevention rounding and real-time education
- Document assessments and care plans accurately and consistently using facility processes
- Work closely with interdisciplinary partners to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Contribute to quality-focused discussions for advanced pressure injuries and complex cases
