- Duration: 12 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,110
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
- Charting System: EPIC
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Floating: May be required within scope
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record charting required
- Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients in a busy ER setting
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Ability to float within scope as needed
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical, psychiatric, and trauma-related needs
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions as indicated
- Support rapid response care for stroke, chest pain, respiratory distress, and trauma cases
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other clinical teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care environment
