- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15), with occasional earlier start times
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Setting: Level I trauma center, high-volume operating room
- Location: Aurora, CO 80045
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- End Date: 12/14/2026
- Unit Focus: General surgery, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics
- Float Requirement: May float to other operating rooms as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of operating room nursing experience
- Prior Level I or Level II trauma center experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Active RN license eligible for Colorado practice
- AHA BLS certification required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Ability to circulate emergent craniotomies and other complex surgical cases
- Strong experience with a broad range of surgical specialties and high-acuity patients
- Must be comfortable with a flexible schedule and occasional start-time changes
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled circulating nursing care in a busy operating room environment
- Support a wide variety of surgical cases, including general surgery, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Adapt to high-acuity trauma cases and evolving patient care needs in a Level I trauma center
- Float to other OR areas within scope to support facility needs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic
- Promote patient safety, teamwork, and excellent intraoperative outcomes
- Contribute to a fast-moving surgical unit where clinical expertise and calm decision-making are highly valued
