Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred; 1-2 years in intermediate care, step-down, telemetry, or med-surg preferred
• Active RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility to practice in the state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, and BiPAP
• Ability to care for patients with complex conditions such as COPD exacerbation, DKA, sepsis, and respiratory failure
• Comfortable floating to other nursing units when needed
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care in a mixed med-tele and intermediate care environment
• Monitor and interpret telemetry while responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support patients requiring respiratory and cardiac interventions, including high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and cardiac drips
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately in the medical record
• Provide high-quality clinical support across the unit and float as needed
• Maintain a calm, organized approach while helping patients and families navigate their care journey
