Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred; 1-2 years in intermediate care, step-down, telemetry, or med-surg preferred
- Active RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility to practice in the state
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, and BiPAP
- Ability to care for patients with complex conditions such as COPD exacerbation, DKA, sepsis, and respiratory failure
- Comfortable floating to other nursing units when needed
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care in a mixed med-tele and intermediate care environment
- Monitor and interpret telemetry while responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Support patients requiring respiratory and cardiac interventions, including high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and cardiac drips
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately in the medical record
- Provide high-quality clinical support across the unit and float as needed
- Maintain a calm, organized approach while helping patients and families navigate their care journey
