• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Setting: Progressive Care Unit with floating opportunities to ICU and other inpatient units
• Location: Olathe, KS

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• At least 2 years of recent Critical Care, ICU, or Emergency Department experience
• Strong critical thinking skills and comfort managing higher-acuity patients
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and obtaining your own labs
• Ability to work independently, including calling consults and participating in codes as needed
• Open-heart day 2 or day 3 experience with pacer wires preferred
• Flexibility to float to ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED with prior experience
• Every other weekend availability required
• Ability to meet pre-start credentialing and screening deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment
• Manage respiratory support and advanced lines/tubes as appropriate to the unit
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support patient safety, quality outcomes, and efficient unit workflow
• Float to other inpatient units as assigned based on experience and facility needs
• Work holidays as required by unit scheduling needs
