- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Shift Times: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730
- Rotation: Day/night rotation with a minimum of 48 night hours every 4 weeks
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday during the contract period
- Additional Details: May be floated to PICU or assigned 1:1 care as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
- Experience in a high-acuity neonatal care setting preferred
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- Comfortable caring for critically ill neonates and supporting advanced patient needs
- Flexibility to assist with PICU coverage or 1:1 assignments when needed
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to newborns in the NICU
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary neonatal care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support families with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
- Adapt to unit needs, including possible PICU or 1:1 assignment support
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment
