• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; schedule may vary based on unit needs
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Start Date: Available immediately for the assignment window
• Orientation: Unit-based orientation with training and onboarding support

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Prior EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced acute care unit with a broad patient population
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to float and assist other units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately in EPIC
• Support patients with a variety of diagnoses, including post-op recovery, respiratory issues, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, detox, and orthopedic care
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, house supervision, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Safely manage patient assignments with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 5
• Respond to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Float to other units when needed to provide extra support or task assistance
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a fast-moving clinical environment
