Join a busy emergency department in Danville, Virginia, where you’ll provide compassionate, high-acuity care to patients of all ages in a 31-bed ER with two triage rooms. This 13-week travel nurse assignment offers a consistent schedule, a supportive team environment, and the chance to live and work in a welcoming community known for its historic River District, scenic Dan River parks and trails, and easy access to larger-city amenities.
Job Details
- Location: Danville, Virginia
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Pattern: Typically 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Schedule: Rotating weekends as needed

Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department RN or ER nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- PALS or ENPC certification
- Handle with Care training preferred; may be completed on site
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment with changing patient volumes
- Professional, positive, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a busy ER setting
- Support care for behavioral health and acute patients as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members during high-volume and admit-hold situations
- Provide skilled nursing care while maintaining quality, safety, and patient-centered service
- Document patient care and manage clinical information using emergency department systems
- Float as needed based on departmental needs
